As I passed through Kings Cross, the Midland Hotel, against the remains of the daylight, looked particularly Gormenghastian.

Autolycus: London, Great Britain, United Kingdom; 70-something, mildly interested in and slightly knowledgeable about a lot of things, but - to my surprise - passionately devoted to little. Londoner born and bred, dyed-in-the-wool Guardianista (I might be one of the wokerati, but I'm not that keen on tofu) and quietly pottering through retirement.
